The beautiful brown of the walnut is brought out by the oil finish and shellac topcoat gives this box a great shine. The grain wraps around the box at the mitered corners. The rat mon is nice and clear on the side.

This box is "skinny". Our normal boxes will hold a card in a protective sleeve. However, while this box was being made the jig wiggled and it came out a little short. A regular card will fit in it fine, just not in a full-length sleeve. But rather than throw this nice piece away, if you don't use sleeves you can get a great box at a fantastic price.
